01 June 2005 - a picture with me in it was on the MotoGP website! Yeah! Well, I had trouble finding me, but, I know where I was in that race and I can see my helmet and the front of my bike! :) Here's a link to the news article. I'll put up a link to a local picture with an arrow pointing to me when I get the chance. :)

| 14-16 Jan | 1 | WSIR Rosamond, CA | F-3 | 8 | 7/7 | 6 | Mechanical, pulled into hot pit, still finished race. Pulled the engine apart... found this. |

| 18-20 Mar | 3 | WSIR Rosamond, CA | F-3 | 8 | 6/8 | 7 | Was windy as heck! Got the clutch thing technically figured out. I have two covers and one has a longer "stud" in the center than the other. This was hitting the clutch assembly when the clutch lever was pulled. I put the original back on. Need to look at somebody elses and compare part numbers as well as shape. WEIRD! |
| 15-17 Apr | 4 | WSIR Rosamond, CA | F-3 | 8 | 0 | 0 | double points - disappointing weekend. Fell Friday night in trailer, injured shoulder. |

| 13-15 Jun | 6 | WSIR Rosamond, CA | F-3 | 8 | 7/9 | 12 | double points, Solo Series Round 2 - ok weekend, had some clutch problems...will see how we do next month with the clutch. |
| 15-17 Jul | 7 | WSIR Rosamond, CA | F-3 | 8 | 8/10 | 5 | Solo Series Round 3 - clutch problems continued but got a little better. I replaced the clutch pack with some that added up a little thicker...it was better but at the end of the start I got a bog again. That really sucked, as my start was great till that point...just right at the end. I am thinking it has to do with the condition of my inner and outer clutch baskets...pretty well grooved. I ordered new ones as well as new plates, bolts and springs. Only thing I didn't order is the pressure plate. I have 2 total so will measure those when I am putting it all together and see what I get. If it's too worn I can try 2 steels (I've heard..Mike does it on his TZ250, and Rick mentioned it). May also try Barnett next time, including the springs, even though I've heard scary things about the springs being painfully strong [HPK-74K]. |
| 17-21 Aug | 8 | WSIR Rosamond, CA | F-3 | 8 | 9 | 8 | double points, Solo Series Round 4 I got new clutch baskets (inner and outer), bolts, springs and all new plates. Argh, I need a tool..well, it's on the way from Carlos...looks like I'll be clutch changing on Friday night at Willow. ARGH! :) - Clutch worked GREAT! Whoo hoo! Great start, first to T1 again...then I blew it and fell back till after T6...so I just finished the race. |

| 29-30 Apr | 2 | LVCC Las Vegas, NV | 125GP | 8? | 14th | 37 | Twin Sprint Double Header w/USGPRU Great turn out. My hurt right shoulder was causing some problems as this is a mostly right-hand turn course. In Saturday's race I was holding a few people off but had trouble with a Thunderbike in T1 and ended up blowing the corner and went off into the track entrance area. Came back on right ahead of the race leader...just to finish the race. Just before the white flag on right turn before the straight I was hit by P3 (Leonard) on right side. Bike jumped but I kept it up and kept going. He high-sided. I should have checked the results, somehow he finished ahead of me. :) |
| 01 May | 4 | LVCC Las Vegas, NV | 125GP | 8? | 1st | 65 | Twin Sprint Double Header: Heavy battle the whole race! This is what racing is. I deciced on the grid that the best thing to do would be to get a great start and pass some of the Thunderbike crowd in the process. It certainly helped! I lead the 1st half of the race then got passed in the back/late corner area. I pushed HARD to stay with Kim and got her about 1/2 lap later at the exit onto the back straight. I knew there were two bikes right on my butt the rest of the way so I just kept pushing! Wow, what a blast! I had taken some ibuprofen after the earlier race and that seemed to help with my shoulder. Me, 2nd and 3rd talked about the race afterwards and we all had a total blast...we'd been going through some of the corners 3 wide. Wow! I really need cornering work. |

| 04-05 Jun | 6 | Firebird Intl. Chandler, AZ MOVED: FB East | 125GP | 10 | 1st | 65 | Hot as heck, over 100F in the shade. Was ready to be slipping on the track...soft front, medium rear. They actually seemed to hold quite well in the extreme heat, except in T2 and T10 at the rough spots. Pushed the front in T2 easily and the front and slid the rear in T10...decided best to change the lines. :) In the race I decided to get by some of the TBs in the wave head by T1. I got one but spent most of the race scared of passing the next one. Finally I said "forget it" and got by him. Man, what a relief. Only the 2 leaders of Expert TB got by me. Whew. |
| 16-17 Sep | 9 | LVCC Las Vegas, NV | 125GP | 8 | 1st | 65 | Twin Sprint Double Header - Practice Friday, racing Saturday and Sunday. - Did a new top end with Dale's help after Friday practice. - I decided to make some used tires continue to work because of a shortage from the vendors. My Bridgestones continued to work well, a medium rear and soft front. - Since we start as the last group behind two other races I figured that it was good to attempt to get as far forward on the front straight and into turn one as possible both races. This was a good idea. - I lead at least the first half of the race. Near the end I got passed in the back corners. I figured I could get by on the back straight like the last race here, but nope...my competition had a new, faster bike. Wow! After the white flag I was really determined! I tried and tried and finally made a pass three corners from the end and made it stick until the finish line and won the race. YES! What a battle that was, it was very close! Using traffic to my advantage really helps and is lots of fun. - Best lap, lap 8, 01:33.920, 5 seconds better than best practice lap! - Average speed, lap 8: 76.661mph |
| 18 Sep | 10 | LVCC Las Vegas, NV | 125GP | 8 | 2nd | 60 | Twin Sprint Double Header CONFLICT WSMC round 9 - What a BLAST. Most fun racing ever, this weekend. Got a good start and passed some of the wave ahead, again...getting better at that... - Sunday's race was another great battle. It was hotter than Saturday so leaner jetting was needed. I even loaned leaner jetting to the competition. I went with some shorter gearing to try making the last big corner easier. Not sure that was the correct thing to do. So, I got another good start, passing a couple bikes right at the first few corners. But one was a little faster today and it took some work. Again, I led the first half of the race or so, but I made a big mistake on the back straight...I was adjusting my helmet and hit the kill switch when I put my hand back down...ahhhhh! Second place got by me at the end of the back straight. I spent the rest of the race working way too hard to catch up. I showed them a wheel in T1 (as I learned from them) on the last lap but didn't get by. I did that again onto the back straight but their new bike was working quite well and they were flying. I didn't catch them on the back straight. I would just have to push really hard in the back corners...I went in really late on the brakes three corners from the end and made the pass for first, but because I was trying so hard I missed a shift and was in second gear instead of first and into the next corner lost it. I tried my hardest to pass on the front straight but didn’t do it and got a second place. It was really a fun and tough battle...and that what it's all about! - Best lap, lap 8, 1:33.816, 5 seconds better than best practice lap! - Average speed, lap 8: 76.746mph |
